Indian woman mainly dealt with weaving and spinning and In the winter they made warm blankets of soft cedar bast and mountain goats.<span id="more-50"></span> Chilikat Indians belongs to the Tlingit tribe they were famous for the production the most beautiful and most precious garments that they wore only by the chiefs. They had the shape of pentagons decorated with tassels and colored in white, yellow, blue or black. Men painted the pattern on the board, afterwards woman carried it to the fabric. Original Chilikat blankets were very laborious to make only one it lasted even several months. The blanket was stranded rather than woven because the filaments were attached to the chassis in only one place, at the top. Between them, without the use of shuttles weaving, fibers was woven into the transverse…</p>
